James is well known for belting out O Canada and the Star Spangled Banner before most Sault Greyhounds home games. He also performs regularly with the Chamber Singers of Algoma and the Central United Church choir and occasionally drops in and sings with the Algoma Festival Choir and the St. Luke's Cathedral Choir.
James is married to his best friend Alison and they are the proud parents of daughter Jacqueline. JWS also has three grown children, Chris who works as an Architectural Technologist with EPOH here in Sault Ste. Marie, Jennifer and her hubby Tim Finnamore who live and work Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and Beth who is living and working in Sudbury raising JWS's grandson Christian.
